A cooking class suits you if you want to recreate dishes at home. It is a seated, slower format that starts with a market visit and ends with a meal you cooked. Check how many dishes you actually prepare.
Good to know: Javanese cooking leans sweet and comes with plenty of chilli on the side, so say if you cannot eat spicy food. Most night tours are walking and last two to three and a half hours. Tell the operator about allergies when you book – street food is not made to order. Vegetarian options exist but are not the default.
